Meet Gear,

Gear is a 100% virgin polyester flatwoven upholstery fabric. The chenille yarn of which this beauty is made of, is woven in a specific way to create a rich and full loop-boucle like structure. The soft touch and dull appearance give that warm embrace we are looking for.

We have chosen for a latex coating on the back, to ensure the stability of the fabric and make it more easy to upholster. Textaafoam developed this yarn dyed textile in a full colourrange, which is carefully selected in a toned down earthy palette.

In most colours you will notice a certain vivid look, which we have achieved by creating an elegant tone-in-tone colourshade between the warp and weft yarns.

Gear has a woolly, fluffy and matte look, during usage it can become a bit more hairy, but this can easily be taken away with a pilling razor. Please note that this has no further influence on the durability of this textile, as it a product related property. This textile gives an extra dimension to your furniture and is suitable for both fitted and loose fitting upholstery. Another benefit of Gear is that it is machine-washable at 30 degrees Celsius*.
